Join Linksfield Primary
Thank you for your interest in Linksfield Primary School. As a public primary school in Gauteng, our admissions process follows the guidelines of the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE). Applications for Grade 1 are submitted online via the GDE admissions website during the official admissions period. Applications for Gr 2-7 can be done through the school.
How the admissions process works
The basic steps for Grade 1 admissions are as follows:
Visit the GDE admissions website during the official application period and register your details.
Apply online for Linksfield Primary School and any other schools of your choice.
Upload all required documents to the GDE system or submit them to the school if requested.
Wait for placement communication from the GDE and then confirm your child's place within the given timelines.
Documents you will need to apply
Parents are required to provide the following documents when applying for a place at a public primary school. The documents listed below apply to applications for Grade R and Grades 2–7. Grade 1 applications are managed through the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) online admissions system.
Child's birth certificate
Both parents ID's/Passports (foreigners)
Childs clinic card
Municipal account/lease agreement
Latest school report
